I was talking to this super big time entrep — and he’s trying to get into my area of experise — digital business.
THEN -he’s complaining all of a sudden:
“I’m tired of passing on my personal credit card statement of accounts , my personal gcash to my accountant so I can make a correct report of all sales and expenses…”
Funny thing he said that.
That’s exactly what was I doing – the week before this conversation.
I said “I know how you feel, I think I have the solution but I’d rather show you than talk about it.”
He says “Okay”.
He was excited to complain.
But when the solution is nearer to him, his answer is “Okay”.
Flat “Okay.”
Being me – I ignored his lack of enthusiasm.
I just booked him to meet up with me later.
Later I realize maybe, he thinks it’s impossible to fix or solve.
Well, normally it is!
After all, private info must stay private right?
But I just said “I SOLVED EXACTLY THAT – LAST WEEK”
Look at this manual work the CEO (and me) had to do to run a digital business that’s registered with the govt:
1. Get Canva Dollar Invoice PDF downloaded from Canva.
Store properly into a 2026 Canva Invoices folder
2. Get PDF of Statement of Credit Card that contains the PESO value for each of the PDF from Canva.
Getting the PDF of the Credit Card must have been done every month.
So by the time you need the PDF – its already in a folder named 2025 credit cards.
And yes, the PDF password must be removed already.
2. Extract the PESO value to match each Canva DOLLAR PDF.
This is normally done by looking at each Statement/Month and retyping the peso amount into Excel or Google Sheets. This Excel file contains all expenses of the business monthly. Retyping = possible mistakes. Even copy pasting will introduce mistakes.
3. Match to Accounting Account Names
Convert the PESO value and name “Canva” + debit account name + credit account name + debit and credit amount. -to be used by accounting software.
You need to know the account names beforehand – using a table you have handy from Accounting Dept (maybe also you).
4. Convert this so the accounting app (MS EXCEL?) will understand this.
NOW, if your head didn’t spin there – that’s what an accounting assistant does every month.
And that’s just for CANVA.
5. It needs to be repeated for ALL expenses.
The process doing it for SALARIES is different, diff forms. The process of PLDT Internet – almost the same, but no dollar amounts.
WHO DOES THIS?
A registered solopreneur will do this monthly by himself.
And this is repeated every three months also for quarterly reports.
Our entreprenuer can hire someone to do this for him.
But yes, he needs to pass on his PERSONAL CREDIT CARD bills ..(you know the complaint..)
NOW – BECAUSE I JUST DID ALL THE ABOVE LAST WEEK…FOR MY REGISTERED BUSINESS…
I was able to semi-automate it.
This means, no retyping amounts.
No looking cross eyed at dates.
No getting confused where is which in what form.
Semi-automate means I can do this faster next month…
BUT THERE’S A BETTER WAY, DB?
I will create a ONE CLICK TOOL to make it go w/o me doing much thinking. I click a link, something happens.
Read that again please.
Because it’s beautiful music for business owners, CEOS, CPAs, CFA, process nerds, systems nerds and high functioning individuals.
One Click is the ULTIMATE GOAL.
But what is it?
THE POWER OF ONE CLICK.
Think of this:
In one click, the kitchen is cleaned.
In one click, the dishes are washed.
In one click, the report is created, checked, filed or emailed.
In one click, your child understands math and filipino!
In one click, you can close the computer and play with your children…
This is the power of that ONE CLICK MINDSET
