Anybody depressed? (possible solutions for dads of depressed kids)

  • Jomar Hilario Jomar Hilario

Problem with your “young” child?
Something that starts with “D” and end with “N”?
And you’re the dad?

Here are some insights that you may not have heard of before.

What you’re about to hear is not the usual rah-rah.
It’s not something that AI can give you.
AI will steer clear of this insight and advice.
It is truly ancient, but it has never been written about on the Internet often enough to be worthy of being called “AI Training Data.”
Plus, it’s probably written in old handwritten Latin, so AI can’t read it.

So, what do you do if you have relationship problems with your “young” child?

The “young” here is the World Youth Day definition of young. Up to 35 years old.

What could be the solution?

SOLUTION #1
Could it be that your kid is missing a sibling?
Try to create a sibling first, and then see what happens.
Kidding, not kidding. I did it again.

This suggestion came from my 13-year-old.

SOLUTION #2
It’s you – the father. You have been sinning often and mortally. You need to address that first.
The effects of your mortal (read:” Killer of souls”) have affected your family.
Each sin brings a host of evil spirits (read: demons) with you.
The more you sin, the more powerful they become.
I did not make this up.
Have you ever heard of a descalating of sin?
It doesn’t happen often.
Often, it’s petty theft …ending in grand-scale larceny.
Or a white lie…ending in embezzling millions.
The evil escalates.

Not only is your son having problems, but even your wife has them.
So please fix it.
How?
Learn how to make a good confession.
How?

AT THIS POINT, A 9-YEAR-OLD HAS TAKEN.
over my keyboard and has continued typing…

Here’s what the child wants to tell you…

Learn how to make a good confession:

“You say the name of the sin and how many times you’ve done it. For example, I kicked a dog 700 times, Or you say I lied to my mom and teacher about my dog eating my homework 100 times.

For adults, they might say to the priest/confessor, “I committed adultery once.”

A venial sin can be forgiven by saying an Act of Contrition prayer; all mortal sins must be confessed.

If you are not very sorry, your confession is invalid.

According to SHMI’S The Ten Commandments{book}, sins of lust are very hard to confess since they give us shame, but have courage, CONFESS IT!!

If you have a sin, you’ve confessed but done it again, look for other defects in your spiritual life, fix those, and you will be able to overcome the sin.

HOW TO FIX THOSE DEFECTS?
You might ask. So, let’s say you are addicted to drugs, for example.

You should have a devotion to Saint Maximillian Kolbe; he’s the patron saint of drugs because, at his death/martyrdom, he was injected with carbolic acid!

WHAT IS A DEVOTION?
Anyway, you might not know the definition of “Devotion.” A devotion is a set of prayers addressed to a specific saint, and you don’t do the prayers once- MANY TIMES, even for years or even a century, if possible!

Okay, back to the defects. So the Saint will help you get rid of all that junk, marijuana, methamphetamine, speed, enough of those, and the like!

GAMES ADDICTION
Here is another defect you might have: addiction to games, have a devotion to Carlo Acutis {Fun Fact: Carlo Acutis is getting canonized this Jubilee Year 2025}, Carlo Acutis is the patron saint of Games and Computers. is my answer acceptable and understanding? I hope so!

Done with the good confession topic about your young child, I just thought about another solution:

SOLUTION 3#: Saint Joseph, why not pray to him, “ITE AD IOSEPH!” “GO TO JOSEPH!”, this saintly spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, foster father of Jesus, is the patron saint of fathers, also known as the “Cornerstone of the Family”. Why don’t you surf your surfboard and go surfboarding the net about Saint Joseph and look for prayer or devotion; here is one for you:

Look down on us, Saint Joseph,
portector of the Lord,
who followed you through deserts,
and gave you blessed reward.
Our foes are yet about us.
Be strength now at our side,
be light against the darkness. St Joseph, be our guide!
we venerate your holiness.
the gospels praise your name, you are the saint all humble,
who gained eternal fame,
to your devoted family,
our souls in trust e confide.
Direct our way to heaven.
Saint Joseph, be our guide.

THE ABOVE WAS WRITTEN BY A 9 YEAR OLD.

Now it’s back to me.

The solution to your problem is that you are not being a father as God and nature intended.

NATURE
Why Nature? As human fathers, our role is not to “make babies” and leave them to the world. This is what frogs do. This is what turtles do. Once the eggs hatch, they’re alone – far from both mother and father.

A human father needs to be present and guide the children. We are more than ATM cash dispensers to our family.

By science, human maturity doesn’t set in due to the slowness of brain development – until you’re 25 years old.

AT THIS POINT, A 13-YEAR-OLD WANTED TO SAY THIS TO YOU:

That is – if the child is guided in Suffering and Responsibility (he said it’s a quote from Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen).

(Back to me)

GOD
You need to guide your child before they hit 25. If you were not able to do that, you’re seeing the effects today. You can undo this with a lot of fervent prayer and years of undoing. This will not be a “simple” miracle, so please expect that.

SUFFERING
When a person has a “D” that ends with “N,” – they are not able to process suffering early on. They probably got an overdose of pleasure escapes growing up.

PLEASURE ESCAPES?
Tv Shows. Movies, Books, Coffee Shops, Social Media For You Pages, Good Food, Good Travel, Good Life. All of these are pleasurable but taken to an extreme.

“WHAT, MY KID HAD NO SUCH ESCAPES!”
Ok. So you say, then they had too much suffering, and nobody – including their parents taught them how to treat or manage or deal with the suffering.

SO, HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH SUFFERING?
The old Catholic adage “Offer it up to Jesus” comes to mind. You’d do well to go deeper into this concept. It’s a marvelous thing.

When the kids of Fatima heard the messages of the Apparition of the Virgin Mary, they did strange things.

They started doing painful things to themselves. Fasting, praying the rosary every day (some people think that’s painful), not drinking water when thirsty…

In other words, they pursued suffering.

Think about that for a moment.

Why?

It was “penance” for men’s sins against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The suffering they’ve inflicted on themselves – is not useless.

They offered their sufferings as a sacrifice for the sinners. This is what was meant by Colossians 1:24:

24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, (Note: This is Catholic Church official teaching)

In plain English: what is lacking is YOUR own suffering.

This topic goes deeper -and I will have to address this in my next email. Reply with “MORE” if you want to understand this.

WHAT DO YOU DO NOW, AS A DAD TO A “D” that ends with an “N” child?
You pray. This is the result of a decades-long process. What can affect it now? Prayer, your transformation into a holier person, and your understanding of how to deal with suffering.

VISIT TOGETHER
In the meantime, if you still have authority, bring your kid to Catholic places—not a Catholic prayer meeting, though maybe that can help superficially.

You’re better off bringing your child to Eucharistic Adoration rooms. Of course, you do have to know what to do there and what books to read inside, recite, have a proper attitude, etc. All of this info is on YouTube now.

SCRIPTS
“Kid, samahan mo ako sa adoration.” “What will I do there?” “Just sit with me.” “What if I get bored?” “You will not die sitting with me in an aircon room.”Can I use my phone there?” “No. Just sit with me.”

It is pretty manageable since that’s the thing you have the most control over: your own life.

Right?

It’s your turn to INCREASE!
