A long-time email reader asked me, “Jomar, I can’t figure out how a website can be used in Affiliate Marketing.”
Can you explain this to me?
SCENE 1
I know of someone who’s a relative of a famous chef.
They went to the restaurant and said to the chef…
“Tito Chef! Libre naman jan!”
The chef just frowned on them.
Why is that?
Reality: Friends and relatives don’t buy a lot from friends and relatives.
You’d have first to prove that your product is trustworthy enough.
Plus, you need to prove that you’re reliable enough to buy from.
Otherwise, they expect free or discounts.
Some friends do really buy, out of mercy, pity or love.
But it’s not going to be source of yearly income -these friends of yours.
The best place to find buyers isn’t your social feeds.
SCENE 2
The seven-year-old kid hasn’t been speaking.
Her parents brought her to doctors.
The kid was found to have autism.
So, the mom went online, joined FB groups on autism, and started reading conversations about other moms’ experiences.
They were recommending all sorts of ways to “solve this problem about autism..”
Finally, one suggested she read this website that compared some solutions.
She goes to that website.
She reads it.
She spends 5 minutes on each essay.
She wants this thing solved in many ways.
She followed the link to buy one of the things suggested there.
The owner of the website either earned or didn’t.
SCENE 3
Let’s say…
You have a sister who’s autistic.
You were just a kid when they found out about it.
So you “grew up” with an autistic sibling.
You couldn’t understand it, though.
When you became an adult, you got employed.
Then, you’re looking for a second income source.
So, you joined Jomar’s Affiliate Marketing Course.
Jomar said, “Make a website that compares products and services.”

All you had to do was create the content.
You decide to make autism products + services reviews.

All the people are strangers to you.
You share in these groups every time you post anew on your website.

This is how you get discovered by the mom in Scene 1.
This is how you earn using Affiliate Marketing.
