Maganda daw sa BenCab museum sa Baguio.

We were already there, so we decided to go.

We were invited by a friend who was into Real Estate there.

ABOUT BAGUIO…

Before I was school age, I spent 2 months year in Baguio. 

My first cousins live there - so I got to spend my summers with them.

No school, so it was all play all day. We would explore outside the house - in the nearby hills and hanging bridges. 

Read that again - how’s that for an awesome memory huh?

I also remember the vegetables! I’ve never had so much vegetables served to me in every meal.

Since I was super young, a guest in their house - I did my best to eat A LOT OF VEGETABLES.

I ate it in front of my “veggie “loving”” cousins - who would be berated by their mom (my aunt) for not eating more vegetables - like “Jomar”.

Hehe. It was an act. But I really did eat all that food.

I just visited these cousins last week. They don’t know I’m writing about them. Hehe.

LETS GO BACK TO BENCAB MUSEUM

This time- in Baguio = was my first time to drive THAT FAR.  

As you may know -I only recently learned how to drive 10 years ago.

Nobody told me that to go to the BENCAB MUSEUM - your car had to literally go down a steep mountain.

So I followed my friend - in another car- and drove down down down down down — the wet roads of Baguio.

When we finally parked by the museum..I smelled something.

I couldn’t place it —pero ang lakas ng amoy!

I wonder what it was.

I asked my friend then - “Do you smell that?”

He said - “It smells like burning tires!”

I said -ahhhh. It’s coming from my car!”

He then said “You have an automatic car?

“Yes” - I replied.

Did I do anything wrong?

“Yes” he replied.  “You pressed the brake the whole time we went down the mountain, right?”

“Yes”

“Lower your gear from 3 to 2 or 1 when doing down a mountain for a long time. If you don’t youll burn out your tires by braking too much. This is called Engine Breaking.”

“AHHHH!!!”  I didn’t know that- and I was already driving for 5 years.
